LAVEEN, ARIZONA — It is not a sight we often see in the middle of the desert -- kids sledding -- but it surely looked a little bit like a winter wonderland on Thursday afternoon.
No, we're not talking about the inches of snow that fell in northern Arizona. Nope. The setting for this story is near Phoenix, Arizona.
A severe storm moved through parts of the Valley on Thursday afternoon and as a result dropped a massive amount of hail in and around the Laveen area. Air15 took to the skies and found a group of kids sledding down a small hillside at what appeared to be a neighborhood park. Watch the video in the player above.
