The Peoria Fire Department says four people were taken to the hospital for heat-related illness at the San Diego Padres Spring Training game Monday.
Peoria Fire officials say they treated eight people for heat illness, and several others requested a place to rest and recover because of the high temperatures.
The Tempe Fire Department says 12 people were treated for heat-related illness at Monday’s LA Angels game, but none were taken to the hospital.
Monday’s high was a record 92 degrees in Phoenix, and the rest of the week isn’t expected to be any different.
Peoria Fire wants to remind people to drink lots of water, and take breaks to get into the shade, visit the team shop, etc. while at games.
