Peoria Fire officials responded to a drowning call involving a 29-year-old man at Lake Pleasant.
According to officials who responded to the scene on Monday around noon, the man was unresponsive and crews had to perform CPR on him.
The man was swimming in Humbug Cove when he had a medical condition while in the water. Officials say the man was submerged for up to five minutes until he was pulled out by a family member who performed CPR on him.
The man was then carried out my an MCSO boat where Peoria paramedics continued caring for him.
The man was flown out by a helicopter in critical condition.
