PEORIA, AZ — A young girl has died after she was pulled from a pool in the West Valley Monday night.
Firefighters responded just after 7 p.m. to a home near 107th Avenue and Happy Valley Road.
According to the Peoria Fire Department, CPR was already being performed on the 3-year-old girl when the first crews arrived. She was pulled from the pool by her mother and transported to the hospital in critical condition, according to the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office.
MCSO said Tuesday morning that the girl died from her injuries.
No foul play is suspected at this time, but the investigation is ongoing.
