A motorcyclist is in critical condition Sunday after crashing on W. Happy Valley Road in Peoria, police said.
The driver lost control and crashed in the eastbound lanes of the road near 83rd Avenue around 5 p.m., police said. He was airlifted to the hospital, and Happy Valley Road was closed from 91st to 83rd avenue.
The road was reopened shortly before 10 p.m.
It is unclear what caused the driver to lose control.
