PEORIA — An 18-month-old child was transported to the hospital in critical condition Friday morning after being pulled from a pool at a Peoria home.
The incident occurred at a home near 75th Avenue and Thunderbird Road.
Family pulled the boy from the pool and started CPR until crews arrived on scene, officials say.
Video from the scene of the home show that the pool is not fenced.
Fire officials say that Peoria police are on scene and are investigating the incident.
The boy's condition was initially reported by fire officials as critical, but have since stated that the condition is not confirmed. Officials with Peoria PD say the boy is "alive" and is being treated at a local hospital.
