PEORIA, AZ — The city of Peoria is finding a way for you to stay active while at home by creating a series of free video tutorials called Home Hangouts.

The videos are featured on the city's YouTube page. They teach a variety of subjects that adults and children can follow along with like sports, crafts, workouts, virtual story time, and games.

“Just a one-stop shop on the city of Peoria’s web page for virtual recreation options and engagement," Blake Englert, Community Facilities and Recreation Manager with the city of Peoria, said.

Off the internet, the Rio Vista Recreation Center is back open with some limitations. City parks are also back open. However, city pools are currently not and youth sports are also not yet up and running. Englert says they're working to find opportunities where they could be provided safely.
