Neighbors who live in Peoria’s Goldwater Ranch Community believe they’re being targeted by a group of thieves.

Early Wednesday morning, five people filed reports with MCSO after they discovered their vehicles had been broken into.

One person’s truck was stolen. One neighbor reported a gun stolen from their car. Another homeowner’s garage was broken into.

Security video from a home captured the stolen truck on camera, showing two young men hopping out and checking a vehicle in the driveway across the street.

It appears the thieves used the stolen truck as their mode of transportation to continue searching through the neighborhood.

“We’re all out here working hard for what we have and it’s frustrating and upsetting when they think they can brazenly go down the neighborhood like that and help themselves to whatever they want,” said one of the residents who discovered her SUV was ransacked.

MCSO is investigating.
