Police are asking for help in identifying or locating a suspect involved in an armed robbery at a convenience store.

Police said the suspect entered the AM/PM at 75th Avenue and Peoria around 1 a.m. on July 9. He immediately pointed a handgun at the clerk and demanded money from the register.

Investigators said the suspect got on a bike and left heading south on 75th Avenue.

Authorities described the suspect as a Hispanic man between 35 and 45 years old. He is 5'6" to 5'9" tall with a heavier build, shoulder-length black hair in a ponytail and a receding hairline. He was wearing "Chuck Taylor" Converse shoes, khaki pants, a white long-sleeve shirt underneath a black t-shirt with an airbrushed image of a woman, rose and the word "floridness" on the front and back, according to a release from the Peoria Police Department.

The suspect covered part of his face with a black bandana and was armed with a black, semi-automatic handgun, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Peoria Police Department Tip Line at 623-773-7045.
