A man suspected of robbing a woman at knifepoint while she was at a drive-up ATM in Peoria has been taken into custody.
According to Peoria police, Benny Manuel Garcia, 37, of Peoria was arrested on Wednesday afternoon.
On November 20 just before 11 p.m., a woman was conducting a transaction at a drive-up ATM at a bank near 91st and Northern avenues when a man approached and demanded money.
Police say Garcia was armed with a knife and stole the victim's wallet before fleeing the scene in a small grey hatchback vehicle.
Garcia was arrested without incident at his home in the area of 114th and Northern avenues.
He was booked into the 4th Avenue Jail on armed robbery, aggravated assault, and theft charges.
Police say these charges are preliminary and charges may be added or amended.
