Police have arrested a man connected to a shooting that injured one person in Peoria on Monday night.

According to the Peoria Police Department, around 9 p.m. one person was shot near Grand and Peoria avenues. At the scene, officers found a 27-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the face. He was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say they found evidence of a shooting in a nearby apartment and later located the suspect, 21-year-old Kenneth Lemons, in the same area. He was taken into custody and booked into jail.
