Country Meadows Elementary School in Peoria says police will be on campus Monday after a threat was found at the school.

According to a letter sent home to parents, a written threat against the campus was found outlined in graffiti near the sixth-grade building over the weekend.

Peoria police says one of the messages suggested a bomb that would go off "today", referencing a weekend day.

Nothing was found when the school was searched and the threat was determined to be a hoax.

Still, an increased police presence will be at the school Monday, despite no reason to believe that the threat is valid, according to the school. The letter to parents says school will proceed as normal.

Country Meadows Elementary School is located near 111th and Northern avenues.
