A strong storm caused widespread damage in a Sun City West neighborhood on Wednesday morning.
Around 3 a.m., Jim Schaefer says he woke up to what he thought was an explosion. He quickly realized the metal awning from his patio was being ripped off and carried down the street.

There were several other reports of damage in the same neighborhood off Dysart and Bell Road.
One woman told ABC15 she thought it was an earthquake at first.
So far there are no reports of damage.
