SURPRISE, AZ — Chandler-based Legacy Traditional Schools plans to break ground in January on a $21 million charter school campus in the West Valley.
To be called Legacy Traditional School-West Surprise, the facility will be built at Cactus Road and Cotton Lane in Surprise, west of Loop 303.
It is scheduled to open in fall 2020 and serve grades K-8.
Financed with a tax-exempt bond offering, the 83,000-square-foot school will employ more than 100 teachers and staff and have the capacity to serve up to 1,400 students.
