Firefighters say they've gotten a brush fire under control that started near the White Tank mountains.
The Surprise Fire Department says it ignited Monday near 219th Avenue and Sun Valley Parkway, near the north end of White Tank Regional Park.
Firefighters said the flames did not lead to any road closures, and no structures were threatened.
Officials reported the majority of the fire had been knocked down as of 3:15 p.m. Crews remained on the scene to focus on hot spots and monitor for reignition.
The fire is in the same general area as one that sparked last month, burning an estimated 75 to 100 acres before firefighters were able to get it under control.
