A former high school track coach has been sentenced for sexual assault.
Gabriel Campos was sentenced to 16 years of supervised probation with sex offender terms for sexual abuse and a misdemeanor count of assault.
Campos was a coach at Willow Canyon High School and was arrested en route to track practice in March 2015 on charges of sexual abuse after an encounter with a female student, the Buckeye Police Department said.
The 35-year-old is accused of fondling a 16-year-old female student athlete in a Buckeye park outside of school hours, according to police.
