Authorities say two drivers were injured in a wrong-way crash in Surprise.
Arizona Department of Public Safety officials received reports on a motorist driving eastbound in the westbound lanes on U.S. 60 at Sunrise Boulevard about 6:30 a.m. Sunday.
Several minutes later, the SUV collided head-on with another vehicle.
Paramedics reached the two injured drivers whose names weren't immediately released.
One of the drivers was airlifted to a Phoenix hospital and the other was taken by ambulance to a Surprise-area hospital.
No word yet on the extent of their injuries.
Grand Avenue was closed in the area for about an hour but has since reopened.
