The Surprise Police Department is investigating a deadly crash on Greenway Road.
Police Lt. Mike Donovan said a motorcycle was driving west on W. Greenway from Westpoint Parkway when a vehicle hit it from behind.
The rider was pronounced dead at the scene.
Traffic on Greenway from Westpoint to Litchfield Road will be shut down for a few hours while authorities complete the investigation, Donovan said.
Authorities did not immediately release any identifying information about the rider.
