Surprise community rallies behind injured dog

A Surprise community has been rallying to save a dog found wandering in their neighborhood, with what appear to be severe facial injuries.

After seeing pictures of the dog posted on Facebook, The Mountain Girl Rescue has stepped in to help.  They've named the dog "Blue".  The Rescue is now taking care of all of Blue's medical expenses.

The veterinarian report states Blue has a severe bacterial infection on his face, along with mysterious old wounds that they cannot determine a cause for at this time.

Blue is now in foster care. Rescue staff tell us Surprise Animal Control will be following up to make sure Blue is being taken care of.

If you'd like to contribute toward Blue's medical expenses, you can donate to them at https://www.facebook.com/MountainGirlTransportRescue/
