SURPRISE, AZ — The Surprise Police Department is doggone excited about their new therapy dog!

In a Facebook post, the department introduced their new pal, "Hope," saying officers will use the specialty trained canine to serve the emotional needs of victims and witnesses who have experienced a traumatic event.

Police say while the therapy dogs work great with children, adults respond well to the pups as well.
