SURPRISE, AZ — Police say a former Valley teacher accused of molesting children was arrested on Thursday.

Aude Khalil Odeh, a former teacher in the Deer Valley Unified School District, has been booked on two counts of child molestation and one count of sexual misconduct with a minor.

Odeh previously taught at Barry Goldwater High School and was most recently teaching with the district online during the 2020-2021 school year.

Court documents said Odeh gave his letter of resignation to the district in April.

Police said an investigation revealed allegations were made that Odeh would harass students and make "inappropriate comments on social media that were flirtatious and sometimes sexual in nature."

One student told authorities Odeh would actively pursue friendships with students and had his social media information on his whiteboard at school.

Police said another student also reported that Odeh made sexual contact with her around June 2015 when she was about 17 years old and was a student at Barry Goldwater High School.

The victim said she had heard that Odeh had sexual relations with two other students but the names of those students are unknown at this time.

On Thursday, police took Odeh into custody at his home in Peoria.

Police said they gathered evidence showing Odeh's inappropriate communication with other teen girls including Snapchat message screenshots.

Court documents said Peoria police also provided information about a call in 2018 at a Dutch Bros location regarding Odeh reportedly being inappropriate with underage girls and taking pictures of them.

Authorities said Odeh was fired from his job at Dutch Bros for inappropriate communication with girls.
