TOLLESON, AZ — DPS says a woman has died after a crash on I-10 in the West Valley on Saturday.
Troopers say Stacey Sullivan, 42, of Chandler was driving a white GMC SUV when she was rear-ended by a semi on the interstate near 91st Avenue. The collision caused a chain-reaction crash that involved five passenger vehicles and two semis.
Firefighters had to rescue three people trapped as a result of the crash and a total of seven people were taken to the hospital for treatment.
Sullivan and four others in her vehicle, all children, were among those taken to the hospital, where she was later pronounced deceased. DPS did not have any updates on the conditions of the other people injured.
The crash remains under investigation.
