PHOENIX — The Arizona Humane Society (AHS) is offering 50 percent off all dog and cat adoptions, puppies and kittens included, at AHS' Petsmart locations for National Adoption Weekend (November 8-10).
AHS says it is currently caring for more than 1,000 animals within its shelters and foster homes.
"The adoption special will help clear much needed space for AHS' field operations team to continue to bring in the Valley's most vulnerable pets - the sick, injured and abused," AHS wrote in a press release.
All pets available for adoption are spayed or neutered, microchipped and up to date on all vaccinations, AHS says.
Future pet-parents will also receive a bag of pet food and a "free follow-up veterinary exam with VCA Animal Hospitals as well as 30 days of free pet insurance."
The 50 percent-off adoption will only take place at the following Petsmart locations:
Mesa PetSmart, AHS' Waggin' Wheels Mobile Adoption Vehicle (Cats and dogs)

Those who want to adopt directly from the Arizona Humane Society's Valley locations will not receive a 50 percent-off discount this weekend - the National Adoption Weekend discount only applies at the above listed locations.
However, for the entire month of November, AHS is waiving adoption fees for any pet over the age of six for their 'Love is Timeless' adoption special.
