Get ready for a guilt-free shopping spree! Head over to Flo's on 7th for the Florence Crittenton 9th Annual Heels for Healing Event.
Founded in 1896, Florence Crittenton is the second oldest social agency in Arizona. It was named after a little girl (Florence Crittenton) who passed away at age four from scarlet fever. Her father, Charles, created this program to serve young women in need to give every girl safety, hope and opportunity.
They have all kinds of programs, housing and more, but they need your help to continue the cause!
That's where the heels and shopping come in! People have donated gently-used designer purses and shoes, and they're being sold at massively discounted prices!
EVENT INFO:
Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., they want you to come in and shop these big names because all of the proceeds go back to Florence Crittenton. Check out these prices from last year: Coach as low as $20, Prada as low as $35, and Michael Kors at $20!
Everything in the store is fair game. Last year, they raised about $32,000, and this year, they're aiming for even higher!
Plus, there will be a Diva Dash, also known as a relay race in heels with fun obstacles. It costs $25 to register, and again those proceeds go back to the agency. Participants are required to wear heels at least one inch in height. SPOILER: We were told a run, a tricycle and a hula hoop will be part of the race. Men and women are encouraged to participate to try to walk, well... run really, in her shoes!
The registration price of $25 includes: VIP shopping from 9-10 a.m. before the event opens, the chance to win prizes like a $25 gift card, trophy and more. There will also be music and food.
Click here to register online. Registration opens at 7 a.m., the dash starts at 8 a.m., with the VIP shopping spree to follow.
So, on your mark, get set, go to the event Saturday!
