Were you wishing you had an extra table over the holidays? Instead of buying one, make it yourself and save!

Check out Stardust, a non-profit building supply company. They save reusable materials from being thrown away. You'll see all kinds of furniture like desks, couches, tables, accessories, appliances and more! The best part -- everything is up to 80 percent off!

Stardust Resource Development Manager Jason Carlyle told us that, "Starve the landfill" is their motto. Stardust has been around for 21 years, and they've saved over 80 million pounds from going to the landfill.

Carlyle showed us a few DIY ideas. You could build a bar cart using two cabinet drawers, scrap lumber to make four sides, and add handles or wheels, all for about $30!

Use an upper cabinet and a medicine cabinet together, paint the base and make a unique coffee table for $10.

Or, you can take a cabinet door, add hooks, and you just made a coat rack for only $10!

Want to bring something in that you don't need instead? They have two locations. The one we visited is a 40,000 square-foot warehouse, and people can drop off seven days a week and get a tax-deductible receipt with every donation. They also do deconstruction and offer free pickup too.
