Three and 99 are the magic numbers at Food City this week.
Pineapples are on sale three pounds for 99 cents. Then on Wednesday, you can get red apples, papaya, jalapeno peppers and Bartlett pears for that same price -- three pounds for just 99 cents.
They're owned by the same company, so it makes sense that Albertsons and Safeway have some of the same things on sale, including Yoplait yogurts for 44 cents each.
Both also have a gallon of Lucerne milk on sale for $1.89, and General Mills cereal for a $1.49. 8
But, not everything is the same... Safeway has the best deal we found this week on red seedless grapes, at just 88 cents per pound.
And Albertsons has a great deal on eggs -- get 18 large Lucerne eggs for $1.47.
Speaking of eggs, you can get a dozen large eggs for 88 cents at Bashas’ on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Bashas’ also has gala, granny smith and red apples, plus Bartlett pears, on sale for 79 cents per pound.
At Fry's you can get mini-seedless watermelon and cantaloupe for just 97 cents each.
Fry's also has you ready for game day, with a selection of sales -- including Coca Cola, Pepsi and 7Up at four packs for just $8.88.
