Now is the time to start making your grocery list because we got the ads early to give you a head start on savings! So get out your pen and paper and let's get started.

We can't skip the first meal of the day, so cereal should be on your list. Bashas' has Quaker Life and Cap'n Crunch cereal for more than half off, $1.49 each. Prefer Kellogg's cereal? Albertsons has it on sale, 3 boxes for $5.

Next up: produce. Fry's has personal watermelon and cantaloupe on sale for 77 cents each. Head to Safeway for pineapple because they have it for 97 cents each. That's more than half off. And at Food City, get four avocados for $1.

Where's the meat? Bashas' has ribeye steak on sale for buy one, get one free. Sounds like a great deal, but consider the regular price is $16.49, making that steak about $8 per pound. I found a better deal at Fry's -- $5.77 per pound.

That's not the only beef deal! At Safeway, it's buy one and get two free chuck tender filets or sirloin steak. Get that same deal on Foster Farms chicken at Fry's. Albertsons has Sanderson Farm whole chicken, drumstick, thigh, or leg quarters for 77 cents per pound.

Add drinks to the list and make a pit stop at Safeway. You can grab Coke, Pepsi, 7-Up and Arizona tea for 77 cents each using a digital coupon.

You can get red seedless grapes at Bashas', Frys or Safeway for the same price at 77 cents per pound.
