We all have to eat, but you don’t have to pay full price doing it!
I got the ads early and you benefit because I found some screaming deals at Valley grocery stores this week.
Let’s start with protein. The magic number is 97 cents per pound.
That's what you'll pay at Food City for boneless skinless chicken breast.
Pay that same price at Safeway with more options: Get Sanderson Farms split chicken breast, drumsticks, thighs, leg quarters or whole chicken for 97 cents per pound.
At Albertsons, it's Signature Farms pork sirloin chops, again 97 cents per pound.
For veggies head to Safeway because they have a digital coupon for Signature Select canned veggies. You'll pay 19 cents each.
Food City has a deal on carrots and brown onions -- three pounds for 99 cents. While you're there grab five cucumbers for $1.
Is there a category for free? Because Albertsons has a digital coupon that gets you five pounds of Signature Select flour or four pounds of sugar, absolutely free.
Since we're talking sugar, how about dessert?
Albertsons has Chips Ahoy and Ritz Crackers for sale -- buy one at $3.99 and get one free.
They also have a digital coupon that gets you $1.50 off cold treats, including Ben and Jerry, Breyers and Sorbetto. You'll pay $1.49 after the coupon, but there is a limit of four per household.
Safeway is giving you $2 off Folgers coffee; Pay $4.99.
Sweeten the deal with $1 off Coffeemate creamer and Tropicana orange juice.
And we can't forget the fruit...Bashas’ has six ounces of blueberries for 75 cents.
While you're there, grab large Gala and Fuji apples, plus navel oranges for 88 cents per pound.
Safeway has Honey Crisp apples for $1.47. They also have Bartlett, red, Bosc pears, and large navel oranges for 99 cents per pound.
Wash it all down with soda!
Safeway has 2-liter bottles of Coke, Pepsi, and 7UP for 58 cents each. You'll need the digital coupon for this deal and there is a max of four at that price.
Bashas’ has 2-liter bottles of 7UP, Canada Dry and RC Cola for 88 cents.
Prefer sports drinks? Buy 15 32-ounce bottles of Powerade at Albertsons and get them for 44 cents each.
The deals just keep coming. Be sure to check your favorite store's ads, read the fine print, and only buy what you need.
