Save time and money on your groceries by taking matters into your own hands!

Are you tired of the grocery store taking up to much time in your day?  You don’t have to pay to have someone do the shopping for you, but you can still save time and money.

Fry’s Food store has a new way to let you take matters into your hands.

They’re calling it the Scan, Bag and Go program and it lets you scan your items as you go and even bag your groceries as you buy.

The goal is the skip the long lines saving you time and money!

It’s a simple process; you first have to sign up for their rewards program, which of course is free and gets you weekly deals.

Then you shop and scan as you go.

What I like about the process is you don’t have to do the math, you can see exactly how your bill is adding up as you go, helping you budget.

Once you’re done shopping, you head to the front of the store to complete a brief self-checkout and you’re done!

For the 10 items I shopped, I spent about five minutes.

Shopping the traditional way, the shopping only took about a minute longer, so not a time saver there, but you still have to stand in line.

What makes the service even more motivating is they are offering $5 off your bill for the first three times of using the service.  I’d say it’s worth a try.

Right now, Fry’s only has ten stores in the Valley participating, with more to come!
