My pants are too long and I don't want to spend money to get them altered.
This Scotch Adjustable Hem Tape is supposed to be a simple solution.
But will it work? Let me try it before you buy it?
The claim is that you can change your hem easily, without sewing or ironing and it's temporary so you can change it out for heels or flats.
And it only cost me five bucks at Target for 24 strips.
I have several pairs of pants that need a little attention.
The instructions are extremely simple... Turn your clothes inside out, then measure and fold the hem the way you want it.
You don't need to iron for the tape to work, but if you want a crease, then you'll want to iron.
Next, take the tape strip from the backing, place it inside the new him and rub it in place.
Then take the backing off the other side of the tape, fold the fabric over it and press it down and you're done.
It totally worked. I tried it on several pants and got perfect results every time.
I only kept the hem for a day so I’m not sure how long it will last, but it is considered a temporary hem. In fact, you’re supposed to remove the tape before you wash.
I have to give the Scotch essentials adjustable hem tape a thumbs up.
So now you can wear heels or flats and your hem will be perfect every time.
