CHANDLER, AZ — It's prom season! Here's how to make your teen feel like a princess for less! Scratch that, make your teen feel like a princess for FREE!
Get ready for The Cinderella Affair's 17th Annual Free Prom Dress Boutique put on by the East Valley Women's League! Ladies can shop and transform into the bell of the ball without paying a dime!
HOW IT WORKS:
Head over to The Cinderella Castle in Chandler. There will be two days where you can score free outfits, including dresses, heels, accessories and more for high school juniors and seniors. A valid student I.D. is required.
On the website, it explains that there could be long wait times, and shoppers should arrive early. Upon arrival, the teen will receive a ticket. Then, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., small groups will enter with 30 minutes at a time. Teens will have about 15 minutes to shop, and about 20 minutes to use the dressing rooms, and they may try on five dresses max. There will be seamstresses on site for minor touch ups, like fairy Godparents. Then, the teens will "check out" by filling out required information, and it's important to note, your dress selection is final. Click here to see photos on The Cinderella Affair's Facebook Page.
Other important notes:
- Only the teens shopping for a dress will be allowed upstairs. Friends and family and males will need to stay in a waiting room downstairs.
- Cell phones are not allowed upstairs in the boutique.
- Around 300 tickets are passed out to those in line each day.
- It is first come, first served on boutique days, and late-comers on day one will be in the line first for day two.
- The Cinderella Affair has helped over 16,000 girls around the Valley, and they are still accepting donations, either monetary or prom attire. There is a drop-box for items on site 24/7.
THE DATES AND TIMES:
- The first event is Saturday, April 6, 2019 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- The second event is Saturday, April 13, 2019 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
