Don't let the price of Halloween candy scare you away!
Our Smart Shopper team did some shopping to see which stores will give you the sweetest deals.
We shopped at Costco, Sam’s Club, Walmart, Target and even boxed.com for popular candies.
Skittles and Starburst are on my list, and Sam's Club has the best deal we found -- get 215 pieces for $12.98.
That's six cents each. You'll pay eight cents each at Target, and nine cents each at Walmart.
Costco and boxed.com didn't have a bag with just these two candies so we left them out of this test.
Boxed.com and Costco had huge bags of every type of chocolate you can think of, including Kit Kat, M&M's, Reese's, Crunch and more.
For a bag of 150 pieces, you'll pay $15.99 at Costco, so 11 cents for each candy.
At boxed.com you'll pay $3 more to have it delivered to your door.
We also priced Mars variety packs, which has Twix, Milky Way, Snickers and 3 Musketeers.
You'll pay eight cents for each piece of candy at Target and Walmart.
Sam's Club will save you a few pennies, charging six cents each.
Overall, all of the stores we checked had decent deals.
Sam's saved us the most money, and Costco had the least variety.
Target and Walmart both had lots of variety and their prices, on items we compared, were very similar to each other.
No matter where you shop… consider how much you actually need. Don’t get caught up in the sales because if you buy too much that’s more candy for you and if you don’t have a whole lot of willpower, that may not be a good thing...
