It's Labor Day weekend and grocery stores are competing for your business.

So where will you find the best deals?

Let's start with meat!

Food City has drumsticks and thighs for $.57 per pound.

Pay a little more at Albertsons, but you also get more options -- they have Sanderson Farms whole chickens, split breast, drumsticks, thighs and leg quarters for $.87 per pound.

And Bashas’ has the split chicken breast and pork loin country style ribs for $.97 per pound.

You'll need sides, too!

Safeway has a digital coupon where you'll get $1 off Bush's Baked Beans, Vlasic pickles and ketchup.

They also have corn on sale -- 10 for $1.

And at Food City, get three pounds of Roma tomatoes for 99 cents.

There are lots of fruit deals...

Albertsons has whole seedless watermelon on sale for $1.88.

At Food City, pay a buck for two pounds of plums, peaches and nectarines.

Bashas’ has 16 ounces of strawberries for $.77 and peaches are on sale for $.97 per pound.

We can't forget dessert!

It's all about ice cream at Safeway. The deal is two for $7 for Tillamook and Blue Bell ice cream.

Albertsons is charging $1.88 for Signature Select and Dreyer's ice cream.

Drinks are a must, so stop in at Safeway. They have a digital coupon for two liters of Coke and 7UP, $.49 for one.

While you’re there, buy 12 32-ounce bottles of Powerade and get them for $.44 each.

If you buy 12 32-ounce bottles of Gatorade at Albertsons, you’ll pay $.49 each.
