Windex versus Super Window Glass Cleaner versus a DIY recipe!

Posted

Do you ever feel like you just can't keep your mirrors clean? Well, whether you're wondering why or you know why, you deserve to have it sparkling clean! So, that's why we compared three different glass cleaners to see which one will do the best job!

We tried the well-known Windex, a DIY recipe (1 cup of water, 1/4 cup of white vinegar, and 2-3 drops of Dawn Dish Soap), and a Super Window Glass Cleaner from the 99 Cents Only Stores. Which one can stand the mess of shaving cream and lipstick?

THE RESULTS: After hard work, they each looked pretty good. The Super Window Glass Cleaner required a lot of extra elbow grease to shine, so we decided it comes in second place! The DIY recipe didn't quite do the trick. We could still see a film after a lot of scrubbing. Now, Windex cut through the mess and brought the sparkle with most ease, so we'll give them the honorary "Squeaky Clean Award". However, with it costing the most, is the price difficult on your wallet?

PRICE COMPARISON: We bought the Windex at Walmart for $3.12. The 99-Cents Only Stores bottle was nine ounces bigger than the Windex and only cost $.99. So, big difference in price and quantity. As for the DIY recipe, you may have vinegar, water and soap at home. In theory, that one may not cost you a penny.
