You can score some free compost to get your garden growing!

The city of Tempe decomposes all of their yard trimmings, making rich compost to use for soil in your garden.

Items that naturally decompose turn into incredibly rich soil that can help your garden flourish.

Composting is a total win-win!  You can score this rich soil absolutely free through Tempe.  If you are a resident of Tempe resident, call (480) 350-4311 to schedule a time to pick up your compost. All you have to do is show proof of residency and provide your own containers to take the compost back home with you in.

If you’re not a Tempe resident, no worries, you can get free compost too!

The city of Tempe is having a compost event on April 2nd. From 8 a.m. to 11 a.m., anyone in the Valley can get free compost at Rio Salado Parkway and Hardy Drive. Again, you will need to provide your own containers for the compost.
