TEMPE — There is nothing quite like a New York slice of pizza, and now you don’t necessarily have to travel to New York to taste one of the Big Apple’s favorite late-night pizzerias.

Artichoke Basille’s Pizza, a well-known haunt for New Yorkers and tourists alike, has made its way to the Valley, opening a franchised location near Rural and Baseline roads in Tempe.

Revered for its namesake slice, Arizonans can now devour the Artichoke Pie, a creamy piece of pizza made up of artichoke hearts, spinach cream sauce, and a smorgasbord of cheese.

They also have class pizzas, such as Pepperoni, Vodka, Margherita, and meatball, as well as the Staten Island, Sicilian, or Crab.

Cousins Francis Garcia and Sal Basille founded the concept in 2008, according to the website. The first Artichoke Basille's Pizza opened in New York's East Village.
