The Arizona Cardinals and military veterans received the most support last year when it came to specialty license plates.
Over $1 million was raised for Cardinals Charities and over $1.5 million for Arizona Veterans' Donation Fund in 2015, according to figures released Monday by the Arizona Department of Transportation.

In total, 389,536 specialty license plates were purchased (or renewed) last year raising over $6.5 million for their respective charities. Specialty license plates cost $25, $17 of which goes on to benefit the plate's specific charity.
There are 60 specialty license plates that Arizona drivers can choose from. You can view them at, www.ServiceArizona.com.
Specialty plates are created by state law. Last year, plates for the Arizona Coyotes, U.S. Marine Corps, Midwestern University and Firefighter Safety Training were added.
