Arizonans have a wide variety of high-quality medical facilities, and according to a study, our state offers good news for the caregivers, as well.

WalletHub says Arizona is among the 10 states that are considered the best for nurses this year.

The study looked at a variety of factors, including the number of nursing job openings, salaries, number of facilities, job competition and the aging population.

Arizona had high scores in terms of nursing salaries and the lowest job competition by 2026. However, it also had some of the fewest nursing job openings per capita, the study shows.

Overall, Arizona took the seventh spot in the top 10, behind Oregon, Minnesota, Washington, New Mexico, Maine and Montana. Nevada, New Hampshire and Iowa rounded out the rest of the top 10.
