Arizona Speaker of the House to run for Congress

Posted

Arizona Speaker of the House David Gowan has announced his candidacy for Congress on Monday.

Gowan, a conservative Republican, has served in the Arizona House of Representatives for seven years and plans to run for Arizona’s 1st Congressional District.

“We’ve got a good field of nice candidates who will claim they are the greatest conservatives of all time,” said Gowan.

“The biggest difference between us all is that with me, the voters know they can rely on my campaign promise to be kept, and my positions here in Arizona to be exactly the some once I get to Washington, D.C.”

Gowan’s focuses include securing the border, fighting Common Core, defunding Planned Parenthood, shrinking government intervention, defending 2nd Amendment rights and issues on taxes and spending.
