Remember the meteorite that lit up the Valley on June 2?
After 132 hours of searching, Arizona State University, in partnership with White Mountain Apaches, located pieces of the meteorite that lit up the sky.
ASU said the meteors fell onto tribal land, in the White Mountains, east of Phoenix. The team of meteorite hunters were given permission to search on the land.
Laurence Garvie, curator of ASU's Center for Meteorite Studies, said the meteorites add a "piece of that giant puzzle about where did we come from."
