Wildfire near Douglas grows to 1,920 acres

A wildfire near Douglas, Arizona has grown to almost 2,000 acres.

The Baker Canyon Wildfire is located 28 miles northeast of Douglas, just west of the Arizona/New Mexico state line. The fire is currently 1,920 acres.

Officials said access to the fire is difficult and fire managers are taking an indirect approach to the fire.

110 fire personnel are battling the fire.

No homes or buildings are threatened at this time. Officials are working with ranchers and land owners in the area.

High winds and low humidity remain a major concern for gaining control of the fire.
