A trip to the hair salon or barber is one thing so many of us missed during the stay at home orders when businesses were closed.
The idea of self-care highlighted during the pandemic. Now, as businesses reopen, you will notice many changes when you book that next visit to get your hair cut or colored. Some of the changes are visible before you even enter the front door.
Many salons and barbers now require all customers and stylists to wear masks. Some have even closed off the waiting areas in the lobby.
"First thing you'll see is you're not allowed to walk into the front doors, until we are able to bring you in," said Chris Knudson, owner of Mane Attraction Salon in the Biltmore area of Phoenix.
"Now we have customers waiting outside and we have them call us, and then when we are ready, we will bring you in," said Knudson.
While the idea of wearing a mask might not sound comfortable to some, many salons, including Mane Attraction Salon said it was a must.
"Nobody's allowed here without a mask. We wear one to protect you, and we're asking our customers to wear a mask to protect us," said Knudson.
