PHOENIX — The Army Corps of Engineers had until May 2 to meet their deadline to have St. Luke’s Medical Center operational.
They originally planned to hand over the keys to the state on Saturday. Instead, they need an additional 2-3 weeks because ADHS has requested six additional modifications.
Colonel Daryll Fust said they have been working on plumbing, replacing fixtures, and doing utility work to make the building fully operational again.
Fust also says there will not be a full estimate on how much longer it will take until Tuesday, but he says it will be at least two or three more weeks.
