The Department of Public Safety is investigating a deadly crash on northbound Interstate 17 near Black Canyon City.
A crash involving multiple cars occurred near milepost 249 Saturday morning.
According to a DPS spokesperson, four vehicles were involved, including a motorcycle. At least one person was killed in the crash.

Interstate 17 northbound was closed just north of Black Canyon City for several hours during the investigation but has since reopened.

Drivers may still encounter long delays, according to ADOT. To avoid the backup, drivers can go through Payson on State Routes 87 and 260 and connect to I-17 at Camp Verde.
