ROCK SPRINGS, AZ — A deadly crash closed southbound Interstate 17 north of the Valley.
The Arizona Department of Public Safety says the freeway was closed near the Rock Springs area of Black Canyon City after a car hit a pedestrian around 6:30 p.m. Sunday.
Troopers say the pedestrian was found on the shoulder but further details about the collision were under investigation.
ADOT said the traffic was backed up approximately 10 miles during the road closure.
