PHOENIX — The record-setting wildfire season continues to impact Arizona skies, even into mid-October!
Many of you have noticed the haze throughout the Valley since this morning. It's thanks in part to the Horse Fire burning near Crown King, but it's also due to wildfire smoke from the Creek Fire burning north of Fresno, California.
Since the smoke is lofted well above the surface, it's not impacting our air quality.
The Horse Fire has burned 8,485 acres as of Saturday morning and is 0 percent contained.
Hazy skies linger this weekend, but cooler temperatures are expected through next week!
