These superfans used the Cubs as motivation to get through treatment and they got to spend the day being treated by their favorite superstars!

The children are patients at Advocate Health Care; all fighting various illnesses. American Airlines sponsored the trip and graciously flew out all 9 patients plus one parent.

The children started the day walking over from the hotel to the practice fields. The Cubs squad anxiously formed a line and swarmed the kids  picking them up, wrapping them up in hugs, and giving high-fives to everyone in sight.

The superfans joined their superheroes with a team stretch followed by a giddy group picture.

The kids then entered Sloan Park for breakfast and took individual pictures with the famous marquee on the first base porch.

The group was escorted off to the Advocate Kids Zone in left field for a raucous game of wiffle ball with RHP Kyle Hendricks and RHP Pedro Strop.
