4:45 p.m. UPDATE: Police say the boy has been reunited with his family and thank the public for their help.

Police are asking for the public's help identifying a young boy who was found alone at a convenience store in Maricopa, Ariz.

Officials say they the boy was found at a Circle K on South John Wayne Parkway Tuesday afternoon.

The boy is nonverbal and appears to have special needs, according to the Maricopa Police Department.
