Despite weeks of controversy and protests, Brett Kavanaugh's confirmation to the U.S. Supreme Court cleared a major hurdle Friday. So how are Arizonans feeling about the nomination?
In an exclusive ABC15/OHPI poll of 600 likely Arizona voters, 51 percent said overall, they were in favor of Kavanaugh, while 40 percent reported an unfavorable opinion of the judge. Nine percent reportedly had no opinion or had never heard of the 53-year-old.
When asked if they supported or opposed Kavanaugh's confirmation to the nation's highest court, 50 percent of voters said they supported it, and 42 percent opposed.
The ABC15/OHPI poll showed a wider margin of male voters in Arizona are in favor of the confirmation, with 53 percent in support, to 41 percent against. Female voters appear more closely divided, with 48 percent supporting Kavanaugh's appointment to the Court, and 42 percent opposed.
The poll has a margin of error of +/- 4 percent.
