Even among Republicans, a new poll shows that President Barack Obama's approval rating is looking up in the Grand Canyon State.
According to a poll published Friday from Phoenix-based Behavior Research Center, overall, 36 percent of voters think the president is doing an "excellent/good" job, 23 percent say "fair" and 36 percent say "poor/very poor."
This is an improvement from Obama's 28 percent approval rating in Arizona in May 2015. And, although 72 percent of Republicans surveyed think he's doing a poor job, that's down from the 75 percent who said the same thing last year.
The poll surveyed 701 people - 564 registered state voters - between April 4 and April 11. It has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.8 percent.
